is a lyric soprano praised for her authenticity as a storyteller and the life she breathes into each role. A recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma, she is based in Oklahoma City.

In her most recent performances, she appeared as Jenny Smith in Kurt Weill’s Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonney, Concepcion in L’heure espagnol by Maurice Ravel, and Orfeo from Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice with OU Opera Theatre. Previous credits include Abigail Williams from The Crucible by Robert Ward and L’ecureuil from Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortileges with Opera in the Ozarks.

She has performed with companies such as Painted Sky Opera, Paul’s Valley Chorale, and OU Opera Theatre and was an Emerging Artist with Opera in the Ozarks.

In addition to performance, Snowden is a budding director with a personable approach to staging, utilizing her Theatrical Intimacy Design training and certification to make relationships onstage compelling and believable. Most recently, she worked as the Assistant Director and Intimacy Designer for Painted Sky Opera’s production of The Magic Flute. In addition, Snowden has also worked as the Intimacy Designer for Acis and Galatea as produced by OU Opera Theatre and as the Director for The Bremen Town Musicians, a children’s opera produced by OU Opera Outreach.

Snowden holds a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance with a minor in French as well as a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance with an emphasis on Opera Performance, both from the University of Oklahoma where they studied with Professor Lorraine Ernest.
